International students may also qualify for some of Harvey Mudd College’s merit-based scholarships, in particular the So Scholarship that is designated for international students at Harvey Mudd.
When you apply for admission, you will be considered for some merit-based scholarships automatically, but for others you will need to apply. Please visit our Scholarships and Grants page for more information about merit-based scholarship opportunities, as well as their requirements.
About the So Scholarship
Established by Yuen Sang and Yu Yuen Kit So, parents of Peter (’86) and Paul (’88) So, the Yuen Sang and Yu Yuen Kit So International Scholarship Fund provides scholarship support to international students and non-citizens living in the United States and attending Harvey Mudd College. The Office of Admission selects one recipient for each entering class based on superior academic performance as shown in the application for admission. The So award is offered regardless of financial need. The award is automatically renewed for the scholar’s second year, but continuation of the award is contingent upon maintaining a minimum 2.75 cumulative grade point average. All international students are considered for the So Scholarship.
