Future Achievers of Science and Technology (FAST)

The Future Achievers in Science and Technology (FAST) Programs offer high school students from populations that are traditionally underrepresented in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) an opportunity to experience Harvey Mudd College. Participants will learn the benefits of pursuing a technical degree at a liberal arts college while experiencing what life is like at a residential college.

The programs include class visits, research lab demos, overnight stay in one of our residence halls (Fall FAST only), hands on experiments/workshops, HMC student activities, and much more. Most importantly, participants will have the opportunity to interact with HMC students, professors and other college-bound students who share their passion for math and science.

The FAST programs are absolutely free, and participants receive a fee waiver for their HMC freshman application.

There are FAST programs for seniors and juniors. You can find out more in this section of the website. If you have questions, you can also contact Jamilla Jamison at (909) 621-8011 or at jjamison@hmc.edu for more information.
