Family Weekend 2014
Mudd Family Weekend is a great opportunity to experience firsthand what makes HMC such a special place: our outstanding faculty and staff, the hands-on learning environment, and, of course, our amazing students.
What is Mudd Family Weekend?
Mudd Family Weekend is an opportunity for families to meet faculty members, administrators, students and other parents. The College has planned a diverse schedule for parents to become better acquainted with the campus and spend quality time with their students.
Are family members and guests welcome at all events?
While all family members—siblings, grandparents and others—are welcome at Mudd Family Weekend, please keep in mind that small children (under 13) may not enjoy some of the events offered. In addition, we ask that you ensure all guest names are listed on the registration form, as nametags will be provided for each attendee.
What is the cost for Mudd Family Weekend?
There is a registration fee of $35 per person (with the exception of HMC students and children 13 and under who are FREE), which helps to offset our overhead expenses for the weekend, including publications, registration materials, room and equipment fees, staffing and catering for all non-ticketed events. In addition to the registration fee, there is also a per-person and per-child cost for both meals that covers the additional food and entertainment expenses for those events. We make every effort to keep the weekend affordable while still offering a quality experience for all families and guests.
Will my student(s) be able to participate?
Yes, students are encouraged to attend all portions of the weekend. We recommend that you check with your student(s) regarding his/her academic schedule and availability.
Can I volunteer to help during Family Weekend?
Yes, parents are encouraged to volunteer and assist staff members during the weekend. Please contact the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at 909.621.8436 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
